Reference for Approved and Banned Equipment for Play in the CISA

Changes to the bat guidelines have happened for the 2013 season, more so for the men’s side than it has for the women’s side.

For the 2013 season, the men’s side will abide by the ISF (International Softball Federation) guidelines, which means the approved bats list will move from the ASA list to the ISF list.

On the women’s side, the ASA guidelines from previous years will still exist. All bats used on the women’s side needs to have the ASA 2004 sticker on them to be used in league play and playoffs in the 2013 season.

All bats are to be checked prior to each game for dents, cracks, tape, etc. If a bat is not up to standard in these regards, it is illegal and cannot be used in the game (batter is out if brought to the umpire's attention).
